Black screen on Startup
I have just left the PC for a couple of hours. when I can back the screen was blank, I moved the mouse and the account login page appeared. It also does the same thing in Safemode but not when using a startup disc. All users are the same. I have tried a number of things including: Checked for Virus - None

Are you by any chance seeing a cursor or other text on the black screen? A thought would be a DOS program running in full screen mode. I would think to do what you are describing it would need to run from the startup folder. If DOS programs are being run you could change them to run minimized.

Was having some trouble and moved the view on my monitor over. Somehow I hit the accept on the prompted window and now I can not see anything on my monitor or my tv. If I pull the power amd battery, then plug the power back in, it has a black screen for like 30 seconds(that seem strange to me as a former pc user, but maybe the black screen is normal) a Tried using startup disk utility but as soon as it launches, it locks.
